Welcome & Arrival
You’ll be welcomed into a calm, clear space. We’ll take a moment to talk about your intentions, what brings you here, and what you’re curious to explore.
We’ll also talk about how this session will unfold — so you always know what’s happening and why. You’re not here to copy me. You’re here to discover your own way of practicing Reiki. I’m simply here to guide and support you in that process.
Grounding & Arriving in the Body
We begin together — both of us. I’ll guide you through a short grounding practice to help you feel your feet on the floor, your breath in your body, and a sense of calm presence.
This is not about doing it "right." It’s about arriving — right here, right now — in a way that feels true for you. You can close your eyes or keep them open, whatever helps you feel at ease.
I Show You — A Quiet Demonstration
Now I invite you to simply watch — or simply rest — while I place my hands on or just above your body, starting at your head or shoulders. This is not a treatment. It’s a demonstration — a chance for you to see and sense how I work.
You don’t have to memorize anything. There’s no "correct" way to do this. Just observe, or close your eyes and feel what it’s like to receive for a moment.
Your Turn — Finding Your Own Way
Now it’s your turn. But here’s the key: I’m not asking you to copy me.
I invite you to place your hands on or just above my body — or on your own body, wherever feels natural to you. There’s no right or wrong position. No perfect hand shape. No "must-do" sequence.
This is about you — feeling into your own hands, your own intuition, your own rhythm. You might stay in one place for a long time, or you might move. You might feel warmth, or nothing at all. All of it is welcome.
I’m simply here as your practice partner — still, present, and holding space for you to explore.
Quiet Time — Your Rhythm
You decide how long you stay in each position. Some people close their eyes and drift inward, others stay alert and curious. Both are welcome. You’re not performing — you’re practicing, in your own way, at your own pace.
Closing — Your Pace
When you feel ready, you gently bring your hands back to your lap or sides. I’ll give you a moment to return slowly, at your own pace. If you feel like sharing anything that arose for you, we can talk briefly — but silence is just as welcome.
Aftercare & Integration
You’re encouraged to drink water and take some quiet time for yourself afterward. What you explored here — in your own way, with your own hands — is yours to keep. You can continue to practice this on your own, whenever you like.
The real learning isn’t about memorizing my hands — it’s about trusting yours.
A Note on Reiki Level 1 Attunement (Shoden)
If you are interested in receiving a Reiki Level 1 Attunement (Shoden) – the traditional opening to the Reiki practice – this can be offered as part of our time together, or in a separate session.
The attunement is a quiet, gentle process that deepens your connection to the practice. It is not a treatment – it is a traditional energetic opening within the Reiki system, and it marks the beginning of your own self-practice.
If this calls to you, we can talk about it during our initial conversation – and I will guide you through the process step by step, at your own pace.
